Employment Background: 1973-2001-Maryland State Police; 1973-1981 Trooper assigned to road patrol and a Resident Trooper Program; 1981-1986-Coporal assigned as a shift supervisor; 1986-1989-Sergeant assigned as a Shift Commander; 1989-1991-First Sergeant assigned as an Assistant Barrack Commander; 1991-1996-Lieutenant assigned as a Barrack Commander, Assistant Division Commander of Criminal Intelligence and Assistant Commander of Communication Services; 1996-Assigned as the Division Commander to the Motor Vehicle Division as a Lieutenant; 1997-Promoted to Captain remained the Division Commander of the Motor Vehicle Division; retired November 2001 and became the Fleet Manager for the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Educational Background: 1968-1972 attended Virginia Military Institute majored in Electrical Engineering;1972- present various courses at the University of Maryland, Towson Community College and a number of professional seminars presented by variety of sources.
Hobbies/Special Interests: Bruce enjoys riding motorcycles (touring bikes); traveling and is an active instructor teaching Scuba Diving in Maryland.
