In 1988, Carl began his career in the Louisville Metro Police. He was promoted to Fleet
Specialist in 1993. Routine duties include preparation of annual budget, vehicle procurement, replacement,
and disposal, bid specification preparation and management activities relating to the maintenance and repair
of a 1400 + vehicle fleet. Additional duties include fatal accident investigation and collision reconstruction.
Prior job experience includes over fourteen years as an automotive service technician.
Carl received his Associate Degree in Applied Science - Electrical Engineering Technology,
awarded through the University of Kentucky, Jefferson Community College – Louisville, KY. He received specialized
training in collision investigation and reconstruction through the Institute of Police Technology and Management,
Jacksonville FL and Texas Engineering and Extension Service, Texas AM University, Houston, TX. He completed
'"Automotive Technology"' coursework at Jefferson State Vocational/Technical School – Louisville, KY.
Carl enjoys collecting miniature Snap-On Tools toolbox banks, collecting miniature
die-cast police cars, model railroading, UofL basketball, NASCAR and Habitat for Humanity house building projects.
