Fred Tytus

Employment Background: Fred has been in service with the Ontario Provincial Police since April, 1985. He held various positions including general law enforcement duties, law enforcement data integrity and security duties and the management of OPP Provincial Communications Centers. Beginning in September, 2011, Fred was assigned and promoted as the Deputy Director of Fleet, Supply and Weapons Services Bureau. This Bureau was formed as part of a major restructuring of the OPP. The new structure recognizes the importance of the services provided by the bureau in direct support of front-line police services across Ontario.

Educational Background: Fred received a Bachelor Degree in Law and Criminology from Carleton University. He also has basic/advanced police training at the Ontario Police College.
