Employment Background: Paul began his policing career with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1985. He served at several detachments throughout the Province. He worked in general patrol, criminal investigations, patrol supervision, as a Detachment Commander and Detachment Operations Manager. He also has experience with specialized units such as Crowd Management and Search and Rescue, in addition to spending ten years as a Crisis Negotiator

In 2002, Paul was promoted to the rank of Inspector and was assigned as the Officer in Charge of the Public Key Infrastructure and Geographic Information Services Unit within the Information Technology Bureau. In 2005, Paul was transferred to Fleet and Asset Services to take on the role of General Manager. In this position, he is responsible for Fleet and Garage Operations in addition to Supply Services.
Educational Background: Paul graduated in 1985 from York University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics. He joined the OPP immediately following graduation. He has attended numerous courses at the Ontario and Police Colleges. He has also continued his formal education with correspondence courses at Dalhousie University in Police Management. In 2008, he began French language courses at a local French language college.
Hobbies/Special Interests: Paul enjoys playing golf and baseball in the summer and hockey and skiing in the winter months. Spending time with the family and traveling as much as possible are also favorite activities.
