Wayne was appointed the Chief of Police for the City of Georgetown, Texas in April, 2010. Prior to Georgetown, Wayne served 16 years with the Desoto, Texas Police Department, a bordering community of Dallas. He left Desoto while serving in the capacity of Assistant Chief of Police. He has served in specialized assignments such as Investigations, S.W.A.T., Bike Patrol, Training, and as Special Event Security Coordinator. He holds numerous instructor certificates in areas such as tactical operations, firearms, defensive tactics, and counterterrorism. Prior to his law enforcement experience, Wayne served as a Squad leader in the United States Marine Corps assigned to Marine Security Company, which provides security for the Presidential Retreat, Camp David.

Wayne and his wife Deena enjoy raising three energetic young boys – Zack, Jake and Kade who are 11, 10, and 8 respectively. Wayne also enjoys playing inline and ice hockey as well as participating in adventure races and mud runs.
