Employment Background: Jim joined the Guelph Police Service as the Fleet Coordinator in 2007. This position encompasses the purchasing and decommissioning of all fleet vehicles, developing preventative maintenance schedules, purchasing and overseeing the installation of all emergency equipment in the fleet. Prior to joining the Guelph Police Service, Jim worked at a local Guelph Ford dealership from 1993 to 2007. Jim managed a new department which was developed to help curb outsourcing by Sales and Service. Some of the services offered included electronics installations such as anti-theft systems, remote starters, heated seats and GPS systems. Other services included glass installation, all trim and upholstery work, car and truck accessory supply/installation.

Jim is an active member of the Police Cooperative Purchasing Group in Ontario, this is a working group of police fleet managers working towards fiscal responsibilities achieved by purchasing police related commodities cooperatively.
Educational Background: Conestoga College – 3 year Business/Marketing Diploma
Hobbies/Special Interests: Jim has been working as a fundraiser with the Guelph Wish Fund for Children since 1997. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, baseball, golf and collecting vintage sports memorabilia. Jim also enjoys volunteering and coaching baseball wit the Guelph Minor Baseball Association.
