Employment Background: John was a US Army Aviator with over 30 years of service throughout the continental
United States and locations around the world. He retired in 1996 as an O6 Colonel. At that time, he was
employed by the WA State Patrol as the State Fleet Administrator until 1999 when he went to work for the
City of San Diego Police Department.
John has over thirty-five years of experience in ground and air fleets and ten years of experience with law enforcement. He is a former LEG Vice-Chair and Chair and FMI-LEG Curriculum Chair for NAFA.
Educational Background: John attended US Army Aviation School. He holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska. He attended the US Army Command & General Staff College. John received a Masters of Business Administration Degree and a Masters of Arts Degree in Procurement Management from Webster University. He attended the US Army War College and Industrial College of the Armed Forces. John spent 1 year in a PhD program at George Washington University.
Hobbies/Special Interests: John enjoys flying, hiking, reading, singing, church and family.
