  • Coordination and facilitation of multiple training courses in various locations while functioning as Statewide Training Coordinator.
  • Provided over 4000 hours of primarily scenario and skill-based instruction as a police canine instructor and handler, department instructor and Academy Deputy Commander.
  • Tactical Dive Unit member, Field Training Officer, Motor Unit Operator and department pilot.
  • Monitor, maintain and participate in development of the division budget of over $95M, including development of fiscal strategies, allocation of funding and ensuring commensurate accountability for the utilization of funds.
  • Management of multiple Federal Grants for the Division including making recommendations on overall allocation and expenditures.
  • Oversight of AST grant-funded media specific to highway-safety issues.
  • Primary oversight of Division-level procurement with a required understanding of large dollar amount procurement of training, equipment and facilities.
  • Statewide oversight of the Field Training and Evaluation Program for new State Trooper Recruits.
  • Created and implemented standardization of processes and procedures statewide where appropriate and applicable, including developing and implementing methodology for tracking enforcement data.
  • Drafted, reviewed and proposed both statutory and regulatory changes to enhance enforcement efforts of statewide programs, including fiscal note and bill analysis.
  • Oversight of the statewide department vehicle program and management of DPS vessels and aircraft in a statewide capacity.
  • Statewide program manager for the Alaska State Troopers canine program.
  • Statewide Operations Commander and Team Leader for SERT with 17 years of experience.
