All-new and all-powerful.

This will be the most powerful street-legal production Ford we’ve ever built as well as the quickest accelerating Mustang model in our storied lineup. Pairing a new 5.2L supercharged V8 with a TREMEC® 7-speed transmission, the first ever dual-clutch transmission in a Mustang, the GT500 delivers tire-smoking, pin-you-to-your-seat performance. Other standard features include a MagneRide® Damping System, the largest brake rotors ever on a production Mustang and an active valve performance exhaust that delivers the soundtrack you expect from a 5.2L V8.

Standard on the Shelby GT500, the all-new TREMEC® seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is the first-ever dual-clutch transmission in a Mustang. The system comes with multiple modes to make for lightning-fast shifts whether you’re on the street or the track. It even has integrated launch control* to get you up to speed faster.

The root of the rumble.

At the heart of every Mustang is a high-powered engine. Mustang offers five available engines, including the 5.2L supercharged V8 - the most powerful street-legal Ford production engine ever.

Shift into the right gear.

The 10-speed architecture, featuring Ford-patented technology, is designed for optimum ratio progression and performance. It also provides an accurate and quick upshift and downshift capability. Steering wheel-mounted shift paddles, a feature found in race cars, are included.

2.3L High-Performance Package.

A performance first package that offers powerful looks to match. True to its name, this available package packs in the performance with such features as an active valve performance exhaust, heavy-duty front springs, unique chassis tuning and the most powerful EcoBoost engine ever in a Mustang. The 2.3L high performance engine is projected at 330 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque.* A hood accent stripe and 19" machined-face aluminum wheels with low-gloss ebony painted pockets top this package with performance you can see.**
