ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Available on models with air brakes, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)* takes conventional cruise control to a new level. It lets you select the speed and distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front of you. When traffic ahead slows down, you automatically do too, and later resume the preset speed when traffic picks back up. ** Adaptive Cruise Control also includes Distance Alert, which helps to keep you more aware of the vehicles in front of you so that you may maintain a safe distance. Distance Alert monitors the distance from your vehicle to the vehicle in front of you, providing a continuous graphical display representing the actual distance between you and that vehicle, allowing you added support in maintaining an appropriate gap.
*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle.
**If vehicle is stopped for more than three seconds, driver must intervene and press the “RES” button or accelerator pedal to resume system operation.
