          PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB)

          We should all drive defensively, but sometimes other people’s lack of attention can create a hazard. This feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don’t take corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically. But don’t worry — they’ll only activate if they’re needed. *10
          *Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and the need to control the vehicle. [Pre-collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection detects pedestrians, but not in all conditions, and can help avoid or reduce a collision. It does not replace safe driving. See Owner’s Manual for details and limitations.

          LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

          It happens. Maybe you’re caught up listening to your favorite podcast but you’ve wandered a little too close to the edge of your lane. The Lane-Keeping System can help you stay in your lane, even during a moment of distraction. This smart feature scans your vehicle’s position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you’re starting to edge out of your lane. Having trouble staying on track? After you’ve drifted a few times, you’ll see a coffee cup icon, letting you know it’s time to take a break. *10

          ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

          Available on select Ford vehicles is a series of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) features employing advanced radar and camera technology.10  ACC lets you set a cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you. When it slows down, you automatically do too; when traffic picks back up, you resume your preset speed and distance. Then comes ACC with Stop-and-Go, which enables you to come to a complete stop when the vehicle ahead stops. * Now add Lane Centering, which scans the lane markings to help you stay in your lane if the system detects you’re drifting out of it. And that’s not all. Now there’s Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which includes all of these features plus new Speed Sign Recognition that can automatically adjust the set speed of your vehicle to the posted speed limit.
          *If the vehicle is stopped for more than three seconds, the driver must intervene and press the “RES” button or accelerator pedal to resume system operation.

          FORWARD COLLISION WARNING

          Forward Collision Warning can alert you if it senses a potential collision with a vehicle in front of you. A display flashes on the windshield, and the system provides an audible warning. If you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.10

          POST-COLLISION BRAKING

          This driver-assist feature can potentially lessen the severity of a secondary collision by automatically applying moderate brake pressure when an initial collision event is detected.10

          AUTO HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS

          We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams — then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off guard. Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They can even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers. So you can keep your focus — and both hands on the wheel.10

          BLIS® WITH CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT WITH TRAILER COVERAGE

          It’s rush hour on the interstate. You’re towing a trailer. And you need to change lanes. If this situation sounds daunting, it usually is. But available BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert and trailer coverage can help ease lane-change anxiety — even with a trailer in tow. It can alert you not only when a vehicle is spotted in your blind spots but also when one is alongside the trailer.10
