The 2021 Transit offers a choice of engines to meet your needs. So, whether it’s the standard 3.5L PFDI V6 or the available 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engines. Transit has the power to get the job done.

    3.5L PFDi V6

    Transit models have a standard V6 engine with advanced technology that delivers responsive performance with ratings of 275 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s a 3.5L V6 engineered with the Ford port-fuel/direct-injection (PFDi) system. PFDi features two injectors per cylinder.

    3.5L ECOBOOST® V6

    EcoBoost generates ratings of 310 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque that come courtesy of two technologies: direct injection of fuel quickly into the combustion chambers (instead of intake ports) and twin turbochargers for an instantaneous surge of power with virtually no turbo lag.

    10-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

    All Transit engines deliver their power through an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers improved overall performance, with enhanced acceleration at the low and mid ranges of the power band. Features include optimized wide-span gear spacing coupled with drag-reduction actions plus three overdrive gears.
